New 4-Tiered Water Rates

Beginning in January of 2024, NineStar water customers will be moving to new rate structure.

The new rate structure will include a recurring monthly Water Facilities Charge.  This charge is associated with the equipment and infrastructure required to deliver service to a metering point.  Members will also be billed for water usage.  Water usage will be billed in 4 tiers.  Those who use more water or less water will be charged accordingly.”

Much like we encourage our electric members to be conscious about how they use electricity, we hope the new rates will encourage water conservation and hopefully reduce demand.  The increase will be slight in terms of dollars as most residential members using 4,000 to 5,000 gallons a month will see an increase on their monthly bills of $7.00 to $9.00.
